Town Lake Foliage

I started this image on site and added pastel later. I liked the reflections in the water and of course the plant life above it. I worked on a 5 by 7 piece of Uart paper and a variety of pastels.

A Commerce, Texas landscape. I think this is highway 178. I used St Armand canal paper and a variety of pastels

Town Lake Fun

A few weeks ago I went over to Zilker park with a friend to do some sketching. We ended up under the bridge near Barton Springs road. I enjoyed trying to capture the kayakers as they paddled by.

Garden Party

The watercolor version of the view of a garden on Town Lake in Austin. It was early spring and we had had a little rain. The flowers were happy.

Tow Lake Garden Study

This is my first study for a larger set of paintings in watercolor and pastel. The subject matter is the flower garden on town lake along Cesar Chavez.

Second Sketch Town Lake

The second study completed on Town Lake in Austin, Texas. I wasn't as tight in this one. I was sitting on a bench as opposed to the ground.
