I did this painting from a photo taken during my trip to La Jolla. California. It was taken from a weird angle and I thought it would be hard to paint. I started out using just black and white to establish my value scale. I added the color last with the goal of maintaining the values that I established in black and white. This area was truly amazing. I understand what La Jolla means "the jewel" in English. La Jolla Rock
