Richmond Chick 2

We were on McDonald heading home and I saw these chickens behind a fence. Of course we had to stop for video and photos. This is one of the finished mixed media pieces that I completed of these characters. Many more will follow. Urban chcken farm...what a concept.

Breakfast Competition

This painting was fun. I rarely paint deer. It wasn't an easy painting either. The underpainting was three strips of watercolor. Originally I had planned to paint a field of sunflowers but chose this composition instead. This image is from a photo taken by a work mate. He lives out in Dripping Springs, Texas and his family feeds breakfast to their deer population.

More sketches from the week long seminar I attended.

Rodeo Study 2

Another painting from the rodeo. This time in a square (6 by 6) format and in watercolor.

Zoo Birds

A little painting from my zoo images. This one was at the entrance of the San Diego Zoo.

Bored and Tagged

On my way to a dinner party in Wimberly on some obscure road we spotted a few calves hanging out by the road. This teenager just had that look of utter boredom.
