Katrina Benefit
When Katrina happened Austin musicians put on multiple benefit concerts for the people impacted by the tragedy. I was out with my camera of course and snagged this image. I need to give more details about the bands but neglected to document it. My thoughts are with the people of Mississippi and Louisiana.

From The Plane 4
Painting clouds from above makes the flight a little more enjoyable. The cloud formations are amazing from a plane.

Vista 2
The second small watercolor inspired by images taken in Big Bend National Park. On my next visit there I intend to do a lot of plein air work.

Bridge Cover
Years ago I did a lot of alternative process photography. This is a combination of polaroid film transfer and pastel on watercolor paper. When I had access to a darkroom I was around people who still shot with film and were very process oriented. I really should continue to explore photography more. Maybe when I retire from the day job.

An Elder
This family friend used to be kind of the neighborhood kid sitter. He kept an eye on all of us and made sure we didn't get into trouble. He would also come by my parents house to hang out and give out his morsels of wisdom. This is from a black and white photo I took of him during one of his visits.

Baby Steps
This little one was in its moms lap in front of me on the plane. He/she had the cutest little feet. Squirmed around quite a bit.
