Again Three Pears

This is a mixed media monoprint. It started out as a charcoal image transfer. It was later embellished with posca pens etc. I found a bunch of older charcoal notan sketches that I had done for a number of older paintings. I used them as charcoal transfers on the gelli plate.

Richmond Still Life

I like painting items in Pam's kitchen. The light is great and she has a lemon tree out front and a garden which includes tomatoes. The tin was new to me. I set the fruit and tin up in the kitchen and frankly painted the piece from multiple perspectives. That happens when I multitask. I played with color a bit too.

Long Gone Mango

I'm going through a period of painting from life. The subject matter is fruit, flowers and heirlooms that I have collected. These paintings are small because small paintings are easier to store. I did complete a large watercolor this weekend and its in that stage of contemplation. I love mangos I just hate having to slice them. Their shapes are hard to mimic for me. With practice I will get there.
