Fulton Palms

This is the last painting from my trip to the Texas coast this weekend. I was painting with Robin Cheers and Terri Wells when I completed/started this painting with my Inktense pencils. I was sitting on concrete and very tired from a day of painting. I managed two more sketches before dinner.

Fulton First PaintingT

his weekend I joined some members of Plein Air Austin to paint in and around Fulton, Texas. This was the first painting completed on Friday after driving down. The Fulton harbor is a working harbor. The crews and birds come in with the catch. I worked in watercolor for the most part with this trip. It was an adventure.

Midday Surf

I may still add to this one. Its an image from the Fort Bragg, California Area. Again I'm working in a new format. The warmth of the waves with the yellows, pinks and lavender is what drew me to this image.

Years ago when I didn't drive I would sit in the passenger seat and take photos during trips home. Every once in a while I would get something to work with. I have painted this scene for years.
