Shadow Rock Smashing Waves

This is the first two stages with this one. I will post the current stage in a few days because I want to let it simmer for a while before calling it done. This is an unusual perspective and a different composition. This is a scene from the Fort Bragg, California area.

Rock Steady in Progress

The second visit with this piece. It was inspired by a photo from the coast of Mendocino in California. Closer to town you can find these rocks sticking up out of the ocean. Its pretty cool to look down on them from a cliff which is usually how close I can get to them.

Wave 27

This wave is from my 2009 visit to Fort Bragg, CA. We found this beach that has camping areas and lots of polished glass. Its down the road from Glass Beach where people go to collect ocean polished glass and shells. It had what appeared to be pilings for an old dock and other remnants of being a busy harbor area at one time. I actually got a whiff of ocean air just thinking of it. Painted on Wallis Belgian Mist paper with Rembrandt and Unison pastels.

California Bluebonnets

This is from my many travels on highway one in California. I didn't realize that they had their own version of the bluebonnet there. Of course we had to pull over on the side of the road for me to get this shot.
