Cypress Branches

Cypress trees remind me of whimsy. The branches and leaves are delicate. This spot on Red Bud Isles has great water reflections and shadows too.

Caught In Thought

I saw this young man just standing with a book. I had to draw him before he left and I did. Like Pam and I, he did not have a pet (dog) with him. When he walked past me, I revealed my sketch. He was pleased.

Tree Ballet

When Pam was in town we spent time outdoors with me painting and her reading and enjoying the outdoors. I do a lot of plein air work when she is home. Otherwise I hide indoors during these summer months. This is a painting from a little area that I parked us in on Redbud Isle here in Westlake Hills.
