From My Window

My office is located on the 11th floor. I look down at people a lot when I need a break from working. Its confusing to draw these images but that doesn't stop me from attempting to paint from that perspective. Drawing this perspective forces me to stop and analyze the way shadows fall from their subject.

Curious Puppy

On the lower right you can see a puppy with red and blue eyes his nose and the mess he made of some items found in a closet. Another one of the abstract series.

Patiently Waiting

This guy was leaning against the subway wall waiting for the Richmond train. I liked the way he was leaning against the wall and the resulting cast shadows.

Bee Caves Traffic (almost done)

I can honestly say that this is in the nit pick contemplative stage. I like the feel of it and I think it communicates a stormy day driving in Austin. I like those days most when I don't have to commute in to work. Those days are for art and movies.
After further observation and deduction.

The first stage of painting development.

Commuter

This is one of the larger paintings of the station.

This is a study for a larger painting I'm currently working on. The setting is the El Cerrito Bart station in Richmond, California.

Lunch Excursion

I was leaving the courthouse the other day and noticed these two headed to the garage and out to lunch.
