This is the pastel painting associated with the small oil study posted below. Still working on it. Will let you know when its finished.

The title for this piece is Assessing. It is a sketch of a death penalty defendant as he first enters the courtroom. $50.00 unframed.

Studies for paintings in progress

"Dress Rehearsal" 6 by 6 inches, oil on panel $75.00 unframed. I'm currently working on a large watercolor of this study. In reviewing this picture before posting, I realized that I have to darken the value of the background. I was in downtown San Francisco and a look up revealed these dresses on display.
This one is called "Men at Work". I'm currently working on a larger version in pastel. This was shot in San Francisco, California. I like painting random scenes. What is not here is the steam coming from the ground. The larger version has the steam. 6 by 6 inches, oil on panel, $75.00 unframed.

Whenever we go to Point Reyes in Northern California I end up photographing the dairy cows. Being from Texas it always amazes me that one can raise cattle near the ocean. This is 7 by 5 inches, oil on panel, $75.00 unframed. I'm contemplating a larger pastel painting of this scene.

This one is called "Group Therapy". I still consider it a work in progress. Once finished it may be renamed. Interesting piece to talk about with regard to placement and body language. 12 by 24 inches $550.00
This is again my exploration of multiple images painted separately. They compel one to ask the question of Why? and What? this one is called "After Thought". The title seemed to fit. 12 by 12 inches $450.00.

This one is a drawing from the "Away" series. Conte crayon on sulphite paper. $125.00

"You Add the Caption" is an 11 by 14 oil painting. It represents three models thrown together in one odd composition. Or at least I thought the result made me think. $300.00

I call this one "Your Decision". 9 by 12 inches oil on panel. $250.00

I titled this one Back Stab. Pastel on paper 10 by 13 inches $200.00.
This one is Yellow Cloth. Oil on panel 11 by 14 inches $225.00. I think the midsection works well.

This one is called Turbulent Times. I did work on it after the initial pose. I think it works with the water. The water gives one the impression that it is in control of the woman. 14 by 17 inches and done in soft pastel. For sale for $225.00 unframed.

The watercolor version. This was the first in the series. 9 by 12 inches $125.00 unframed.
This was an erase painting. I started out with charcoal smugged all over the paper. I then erased the outlines of the model and painted the details in conte crayon. Pastel $175.00 unframed 10 by 13 inches

This was the first in the paintings of the model at rest. It will be revisited. Watercolor 12 by 9 inches. $125.00 unframed. I may work on this one a bit more. If you like it as is say so.

This was painted on black paper. I like speckles of color and painting on black gives me that effect. This was one of three pieces done during a 15 min pose. 9 by 12 inches $125.00 unframed.
